Bringing the Vibrancy of Nature Indoors:
Art that Resonates with Earth’s Energy

About Dianne

Dianne Beauregard, (formerly Kehoe) a contemporary expressionist painter, draws inspiration from her deep connection with land and nature. Born in Montreal to a family immersed in artistry, her upbringing instilled a passion for painting that she nurtured alongside a successful career in Graphic Design, excelling in both disciplines at Dawson College. Transitioning from Montreal to Toronto, she seamlessly integrated her design expertise with her artistic endeavors, exhibiting and selling her vibrant abstract acrylics and evocative watercolors. In 2016, Beauregard relocated to rural Prince Edward County, Ontario, embracing a full-time commitment to her art and environmental advocacy.

Her abstract-expressionist works, informed by her views on ecological issues, feature bold narratives reflecting her design acumen and reverence for nature. Beauregard’s artistic journey has been marked by numerous accolades, including prestigious awards such as the Jurors’ Choice Award in 2021 and The Maison Depoivre Gallery Award in 2019. Her contributions extend beyond the canvas; she co-created and painted significant murals for Base31 creative-cultural gardens and passionately shares her expertise as an art instructor, conducting workshops for diverse audiences. Beauregard remains an active member of the arts community, dedicated to fostering creativity and environmental consciousness.

“My artistic practice revolves around the concept of 'Mana,' the raw energy inherent in nature that informs both my soul and my artistic creations. Nature serves as both muse and refuge, providing me with a deep sense of connection and inspiration. Whether engaged in painting, growing food, hiking, or other outdoor activities, each experience enriches my artistic expression, grounding me in the rhythms of the natural world. My creative process is a deliberate blend of intention and spontaneity. I approach each painting with a full commitment of both mind and body, often accompanied by music that echoes the cadence of my emotions. I utilize a range of tools beyond traditional brushes, including spray paint, sponges, sticks and other tools from nature, to explore textures and layers in my work.

My art is characterized by its energetic and dynamic quality, reflecting my ongoing exploration of semi-realism, abstraction, and expressionism. I aim to create compositions that are both bold and nuanced, inviting viewers to engage deeply and contemplate the interplay of form and emotion. Through my work, I strive to capture the essence of life's complexity and beauty, inviting others to join me on a journey of exploration and contemplation within the realm of art.”
